Buttoned Up for Fall, Still Plenty of Veggie!

We survived the first freeze of the fall! We spent the beginning of the week picking everything that is sensitive to frost and using row covers and hoops on all the crops that we’ll keep harvesting through October and into November. It’s a tedious task and frost prep kicked my ass a bit this year, but in my opinion it is the best time for veggies and well worth the extra effort to keep them pristine. We’ve still got a lot of veg in the fields to go out to our markets this fall and hope you come out to share in the bounty!

Farmers Market at Cheshire Medical Center Thursday 10/8

We’ll be in the cafeteria of Cheshire Med on Thursday 10/8 from 10am - 2pm. The cafeteria is downstairs and you can access it from the main entrance and go downstairs or by driving around to the back entrance (there is construction around the back entrance but you can still access it).

Huge selection of veggies from our farm coming this week plus corn, beans, and apples from Warner Farm. Winter squash, ginger, potatoes, onions, sunflowers, tomtaoes, zucchini, and so much more from us. Come check us out!
