Hazy Week, Abundant Veggies!

Odd week around here, folks. The photo above doesn’t have a filter on it, that’s just what it was like working in the fields today. I hope I never have to get used to farming through wildfire smoke, but this is the third summer straight with these types of events and much of the country is in some level of drought conditions, so that doesn’t bode well for the coming years. There is a chance for a powerful el nino event this winter which would bring some much needed moisture along with it. Let’s hope that comes to fruition.

In spite of the ominous haze, the farm is cruising along and we’ve got a great lineup of produce coming to the markets this week into the weekend. Tomatoes will make their first appearance at our markets, squash and zukes are going gangbusters, the cabbage is sweet, and the cukes are crisp! Corn and Blueberries from Warner will be in the farm store all weekend and at the Cheshire Medical Center on Thursday this week. It feels like summer around here!

Farmers Market at Cheshire Medical Center Thursday 7/16

We’ll be in the cafeteria of Cheshire Med on Thursday 7/16 from 10am - 2pm. The cafeteria is downstairs and you can access it from the main entrance and go downstairs or by driving around to the back entrance (there is construction around the back entrance but you can still access it).

Huge selection of veggies from our farm coming this week plus corn & berries from Warner Farm. Tomtaoes, snap peas, cucumbers, lettuce mix, spicy mix, zucchini, and so much more! Come check us out!
