Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a relationship between our farm and you as our customer. Rather than simply purchasing food, our customers become “members” of this CSA farm who receive a portion of the farm’s harvest. The CSA season runs from the beginning of July through November. Members are responsible for collecting their share each week. You will generally receive a share of produce equal to the amount of a full CSA share divided by the amount of weeks the season runs for i.e 2025 full summer shares are $700 for 20 weeks, or an average $35.00/week. Weekly value is based off of full CSA shares only, meaning flex share values are based off of the same calculation. The value of shares is subject to change depending on season and availability of crops.

We promise to do our best to provide you with a bountiful share each week. The quantity of produce, however, may vary from week-to-week due to extreme weather, insects, or other production factors despite our best efforts. By joining our CSA, you are agreeing to share the risk of crop failure with us and other members. In the unlikely event of a crop failure, our procedure is as follows: If only a small portion of crops fail, we compensate for the failed crops by filling your share with other crops grown on the farm that are ready for harvest at that time. We may cover for a crop loss by buying in from local farms. This may not be a feasible option for all crops because of cost or widespread failure.

Barring crop failures, the goal for each season is to provide our CSA members with a 10% return on the baseline value set by that seasons full CSA share. For example, a $700 full share would receive $770 worth of produce by the end of the season, or an average of $38.50 worth of produce per week. This is not a guarantee. Most years will exceed a 10% return on the initial investment, however some years may not meet that threshold. By joining our CSA you are agreeing to share in the potential risk of a down season, as well as the reward of an abundant season.

In addition to our CSA, our farm sells to farmers markets, restaurants, grocery stores, local schools, and wholesale distributors. Although production for all of our different markets is not segregated, our CSA receives priority. After filling our CSA share with the week’s harvest first, the remainder is sold to our other markets.

Upon signup, a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the cost of your share (including add-ons and delivery if applicable) is due immediately. If paid in full before the start of the season, refunds will be issued on a case by case basis. Refunds will not be issued once the CSA season begins.
