It's been a while! Good evening everyone! Keeping it short tonight but I have a couple things to mention. It's been a fun spring so far, so fun that I barely have any time for the newsletter! In spite of all the rain we are finding ways to stick to our schedules and filling fields as fast as we can make them. It's a great time of year.

I had a couple of folks ask about the start of CSA this year and that will be on July 2nd this summer. It's a couple weeks later than our previous start times but we should hit the ground running once we open up shares. I'll be getting in touch with all members, workshares, delivery drivers etc as the date approaches.

We will be out and about through the end of this week and into the weekend. Our third farmers market has started up in Jaffrey on Fridays from 3-6pm and we will be there all summer. That means you can find us at Cheshire Medical Center Thursdays from 10am-2pm, Jaffrey in front of the library Fridays from 3pm-6pm, and Keene on Saturdays from 9am-1pm. We also have a full store that is stocked every Thursday morning by dawn and the plant stand is still full of flowers. Come say hi to Gurdy!

We were able to buy in lots of strawberries and asparagus from our friends at Warner Farm in MA and will have those all weekend in the store and at the Cheshire Med and Jaffrey Markets! We plan on expanding our asparagus patch and incorporating strawberries into the farm, but until then we're lucky to have such great growers in the area!

Ah, last thing. Starting next week we will be stocking the store consistenly with fresh baked Orchard Hill Bread. We are trying to keep more staples in the store on a regular schedule and bread is one that we can do reliably.

Workshares Wanted

We are also looking for workshares on either Monday, Wednesday or Friday this year. Workshares receive a full CSA share with bread and eggs in exchange for 6hrs/week on the farm. Start times are a little more flexible for the workshare position, but we do ask that workshares come in the same day each week throughout the CSA season.
